Though I’m a Japanese, I think it’s strange that I commend well Japanese anime. There are so many wonderful anime. Dragon Ball, Doraemon, One peace, Slum dunk, NARUTO, Case Closed (Detective Conan),and Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, which are “Ghibli anime” and so on which are already popular and famous.
This time, I want to introduce this anime which are indispensable of my life.
Tomorrow’s Joe(あしたのジョー/Ashita no Joe)
Tomorrow’s Joe is the story that featured the theme of boxing.
You can see Edo era of Japan in the story which the background is Sanya Tokyo, where often called as “Slum of Tokyo”.
This story appeared series at WEEKLY SHONEN MAGAZINE(週刊少年マガジン) from 1968 to 1973.
