Kanda-Matsuri is a festival usually celebrated every two years since in about 1600 at Kanda-Myoujin(神田明神) in Chiyoda Tokyo. The Three Great Festivals of EDO are “Kanda Matsuri(神田祭)”, “Sanja Matsuri(三社祭)” and “Sannou Matsuri(山王祭)“.
Although “Kanda Matsuri(神田祭)” and “Sannou Matsuri(山王祭)” are the long-accepted theory, there is an another theory that the third festival is “Fukagawa-Matsuri(深川祭)” or Nezu-Shrine-Reitaisai(根津神社例大祭) instead of “Sanja Matsuri(三社祭)”.

The festival is filled with excitement.
Would you like to join that?
Any way, the three great festivals of Japan are “Kanda Matsuri(神田祭) in Tokyo” “Gion Matsuri(祇園祭) in Kyoto” “Tenjin-sai(天神祭) in Osaka”.
